C.A.U.S.E. Challenge™ High School Film Festival
Presented by Bayer Corporation, Carnegie Science Center's SciTech Spectacular and Pittsburgh Filmmakers

Entry deadline: Friday Jun 1, 2007

WHY:To support and cultivate interest in science and technology.

WHO:9th-12th Graders from the following counties: (Pennsylvania) Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Washington and Westmoreland;
(Ohio) Jefferson, Columbiana and Mahoning;
(West Virginia) Monongalia, Preston and Marion.

TOPIC: "Mutual Impact: The Environment and You"

FORMAT: Video of 5 minutes MAX

AWARDS CEREMONY: Thurs., Sept. 20, 2007 at Carnegie Science Center

Prizes include cash, Pittsburgh Filmmakers' Workshops and other cool stuff! Selected finalists will also receive school recognition trophies.

JUDGING: Every film will be considered by a panel of judges. The Judging criteria is included in Film Festival Information packet. Students will be awarded certificates and those with 14 or more points will be eligible for one of the following:
honorable mention, bronze, silver and grand prize.

Students whose parents/guardians are employed by SciTech Spectacular, Bayer Corporation, Pittsburgh Filmmakers or any of their affiliates are not eligible to participate in this competition.
